Recently Sober Sisters Recovery at Malley Farm has received two wonderful financial contributions to their mission.  First, in February, 2017, Sober Sisters was a recipient of one of the Fabulous Find’s “big checks” which are checks donated to local not-for-profits like ours.  The Fabulous Find is a resale boutique in Kittery Maine who is committed to supporting the efforts of organizations like ours.  Their check will help us continue to transform Malley Farm into the incredible home that it is for the lovely women in recovery who live there.  We continue to need support and intend to put these moneys toward a new roof and improvements to the current windows that need replacing.

Later in February the Joan Wiegers Dancers and the Belletete Ballet  Studio performed in a fundraiser at the Strand Theater in Dover, NH.  The Strand is almost 100 years old and the owner is generous in providing opportunities for fundraisers like Joan’s.  James Vara, NH’s Advisor to the Governor on Addiction and Behavioral Health, represented Governor Sununu to present Sober Sisters with a commendation for their work in the community.  It was a great evening.
